We provide services such as online GP consultations, medical certificates, specialist referrals, and consultations, which may result in prescriptions if clinically appropriate, all accessible from the comfort of your home.
Most telehealth consultations with Prime Medic are privately billed and not covered by Medicare. If any service is eligible for Medicare, this will be clearly indicated before booking.
Prime Medic's online GP services are only provided to patients physically located in Australia at the time of consultation, in line with telehealth regulations.
Yes, you can use Prime Medic's telehealth consultations if you are located in Australia. However, non-citizens may not be eligible for Medicare rebates.
GP consultations are available 7 days a week, with same-day or next-day appointments usually possible depending on availability
All of our services are covered by medicare tends to availability (Terms & Condition Apply). For those who have private insurance or don't have a medicare card, they can also book via credit / debit card. For more details call our helpline or talk to our support agent on chat.
Yes, you can cancel or reschedule your consultation according to our cancellation policy. Refund eligibility will be shown during booking.
While our doctors are available throughout the week, 24/7 availability is not guaranteed and depends on consultation demand and scheduling.
Prescriptions may be offered if deemed clinically appropriate following a telehealth consultation. A prescription is not guaranteed.
Where clinically appropriate, doctors may prescribe medications following a consultation. However, we do not prescribe Schedule 8 controlled drugs or medications prohibited from telehealth prescribing.
Your telehealth prescription can be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy or delivered through a partner pharmacy.
Prime Medic consultations are private services, but the cost of prescribed medications depends on your pharmacy and PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) eligibility.

You can request a repeat specialist referral online if you have previously visited a specialist and require a new referral. A GP will review your request during a telehealth consultation.
